“Die Doppelte Frau” by Beate Thalberg is a film noire doc-fiction mini series aired on “ORF” – the Austrian Broadcasting Corporation. It follows the story of Austrian photographer Betty Steinhart and how her work captured the spirit of the “Salzburg Festival” from 1920 onwards.
Between archive material, interviews and film noire scenes are 2D black and white animation sequences telling the story of our heroine. All the animation was created in Adobe Animate and Toon Boom Harmony. The first three episodes aired in 2021 with three more being released in 2022.
